Ugh, fleas. When I bought my first house, the previous owner had a dog, and the whole house was infested with the critters. Had to bomb the place twice to get rid of ’em. Don’t blame Damien a bit here.
Growing up me and my sister were big on adopting strays (or neighbor pets that happened to just be wandering the neighborhood). At one point we had 2 dogs and 8 cats… Fleas were a constant part of growing up for me, to the point where if I walked around the house with socks on I’d see little black spots on them.
I’d give them flea baths and spray the yard with pesticides, but nothing could curb it when my cats had the run of the neighborhood.
I lived in an area once where the fleas were all resistant to insecticides, but they were also completely retarded and couldn’t jump or bite properly, so they were just tickly and annoying.
I don’t every remember ever being bitten, just like you said tickly and annoying. Or maybe it is like mosquitoes and it just makes you itchy. I don’t claim to be a bug scientist… Currently dealing with a much bigger infestation (flying squirrels in my attic and walls) Got a live trap with some peanuts for bait, hoping to catch the little fuckers.

Zoe obviously doesn’t know how cats work.
