I was just starting out back then, and have never been that good with computers. Took a lot of mistakes to get to where I am (such as the terrible backgrounds using photos).

Definitely a darker pallet. The later black and white comics don’t convey the same darkness.
A lot of that later is my laziness when it comes to backgrounds… many times I would just leave it completely white. At least when I color pages I got to put a flat color in the background for whatever color the paint on the wall is.
